Introduction
Northern Essentials was
established in 2003 and has grown slowly over the
years with experience, skills and regular customers.
We are a small friendly family business
and with the large amount of work we have coming in we
may soon be recruiting more staff for
commissioned-based design work. Experience is not
essential but some basic website design skills
preferred and you will also need your own computer to

We design a variety of websites
for all kinds of businesses all over the world.
We are not just a business that
appears for a few years and then disappears; we
started in 2003 and we will always be here to provide
website design and hosting so you can always come back
to us if you need any further design work or changes
to your website.
We don’t want to go into too
much detail here about what we offer as we need to
keep this website simple so if you have any questions
or suggestions, please don’t hesitate to use our

Services
We update, build, maintain, and
repair websites; design flash intros, SQL database
systems; ecommerce payment systems which can be
connected directly to your bank account providing a
means for the customer to pay instantly for items
purchased from your website; we can move your websites
from one host to another; we can customise or update
templates you may have bought. We will even do simple
text updates and changes for your current website for
a small fee.
We specialise in PHP and SQL but
also use html, flash and java scripts.
We try our best to meet the
budget of the customer – if you don’t want to
spend much money we will design a small website to
suit your budget which is often all you need – if
you have an unlimited budget we will use many advanced
features as we think necessary to create your ideal
website. Once we have created your website you have
the opportunity to decide whether it is the right
design for you or we will keep trying different
designs until you are fully satisfied with our work
for no extra charge; until then you don’t have to
pay us anything.
We are based in Yorkshire
(England) and so are our high standard reliable
website servers.
We are available for long term or
short term website design and update contracts if
required.
Payment
Payment for our services is only
required when the customer is completely satisfied; we
give you plenty of time to pay and we do not pressure
anyone into paying before they can afford to. Monthly
payment plans available to suit your budget without
extra charge.
Qualifications
Our head designer has many
certificates and is qualified in the following: City
& Guilds Website Design & HTML, NCFE Art &
Design Level III, HNC Computing, NCFE Digital Imaging
with Adobe Photoshop, RSA/OCR Text & Word
Processing Level III, English
(grammar/punctuation/literature), GCSE Mathematics
& Physics, plus years of experience in website
creation. These qualifications are all relevant and
useful for website design.

Says the head designer:
“Computers have always been my hobby since I
discovered them at the age of 15 when I first learned
to program in Spectrum Basic and later BBC Basic. I
first enjoyed typing in other people’s programs from
computer magazines and then quickly learned how to
write my own and design simple games using a variety
of computers and programming languages including
Pascal. I later learned how to repair computers and
progressed into website design which was easy and
enjoyable for me because website design uses many
types of computer programming languages.

We are so busy that we may need
to recruit commission based part-time outworkers in

Experience, skills and
qualifications are not essential but some basic skills
in website design preferred.
As well as designers we will soon
also require commission based sales and marketing
staff that can bring more customers to us.
